How to set reminders and get new-episode alerts
Never miss the match: a card pops up when it starts, with “Watch now”. Plus alerts when the series you follow get new episodes.
Step by step
- 1
From the TV Guide
Highlight a programme that hasn’t started, press OK and choose “Set reminder”. It uses your usual warning time (5 minutes before, unless you change it).
- 2
Or while watching
Press ▶ for the channel’s schedule, press OK on a later programme and choose “Set Reminder”. Here you can pick: at programme start, 5, 10, 15 or 30 minutes before, or 1 hour before.
- 3
When it starts
A card appears at the top right of the screen — even over another channel — with “Watch now” and “Dismiss”. Use ◀ ▶ and OK. If 1ClickTV is closed, you get a notification instead; open it to go straight to the channel.
- 4
See and remove reminders
Settings › Reminders & alerts lists everything under “COMING UP”. Press OK on a reminder to remove it.
- 5
Choose the warning time
In the same page, “Remind me before it starts” offers When it starts, 5, 10, 15 or 30 minutes.
- 6
New-episode alerts
“Tell me about new episodes” (on by default) watches the series in your favourites and in Continue Watching, about once a day. New episodes appear in Series › “New episodes for you”.
Tips & tricks
- The first time you set a reminder, the TV may ask to allow notifications — allow it so reminders also reach you when the app is closed.
- Reminders survive a restart of the TV. A reminder missed while the TV was off still shows if the programme is on; if it is over, it is dropped.
- Pay-per-view events from Announcements have their own “Set Reminder”.
