How to use Announcements and live events

App news, notices and pay-per-view events — with the channels that show them in your playlist.

Step by step

1. 1

   Open Announcements

   On Home, go down to the bottom row and press OK on “Announcements”. A red number shows unread items; a gold dot means a live event is coming.

   Filter

   Highlight a chip — All, Unread, News, PPV Events and more — and press OK to apply it. Press ▼ to go to the list.

   Read or open an event

   Press OK on an item. An event shows its time, description and the channels that broadcast it in your playlist, marked Available or not.

4. 4

   Watch or be reminded

   On a live event choose “▶ Watch Now” (or “View Channels” to pick one). Before it starts, choose “Set Reminder” and how early you want it.

Tips & tricks

• Settings › Announcements turns the pop-ups and the unread badge on or off, hides promotional items and refreshes the list.
• Whether an event is watchable depends on your own playlist — the app only matches it with channels you already have.
